Job summary

Antolin is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor/Engineer to lead maintenance programs across plant equipment and utility systems at our Kansas City facility. You will drive reliability, safety, and continuous improvement, coordinating repairs and preventive tasks for shifts across production areas.

The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing maintenance, at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, and knowledge of CMMS, PLCs, hydraulics, and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • 3–5 years maintenance experience in manufacturing, 2+ years supervisory
  • Automotive industry experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; Spanish desired

Mission:

To ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all plant equipment, facilities, and utility systems by leading maintenance activities, minimizing downtime, supporting production goals, and driving continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance
  • Provide functional direction for all equipment breakdown maintenance
  • Coordinate equipment repairs across all shifts; respond to plant production and maintenance needs
  • Evaluate downtime data, operating procedures, and equipment capabilities/capacities; authorize repairs, modifications, or changes to improve efficiency or reduce operating costs
  • Utilize CMMS to manage data collection, scheduling/planning, and preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance priorities
Facilities & Utilities Maintenance
  • Oversee operation of primary plant utility equipment: boilers, refrigeration, air conditioning, electrical distribution, fire protection, compressed air, waste treatment, and water distribution systems
  • Ensure necessary repairs and improvements are made to plant buildings, grounds, utility equipment, and production equipment
  • Ensure optimum supplies of repair parts and other plant essentials are available for equipment and facility maintenance
OSHA & EPA Compliance
  • Direct ongoing plant programs in energy conservation, water conservation, emergency action measures, and environmental control
  • Ensure conformance to local, state, and federal regulations and company objectives
  • Assist in implementing safety programs; ensure prompt correction of safety discrepancies
  • Maintain all environmental records and documentation
  • Ensure all maintenance staff and contractors follow plant safety, environmental, and quality management system policies and procedures — including those required under IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 — and take corrective action when violations or nonconformances occur
  • Support internal and external IATF 16949/ISO 14001 audits by maintaining accurate equipment records, calibration logs, and maintenance documentation as required
  • Contract with external vendors, contractors, and supplier representatives as required
  • Stay current on technology advancements applicable to plant operations
Maintenance Work Center Management
  • Ensure departmental resources — staff, budget, space, equipment, and supplies — are available and capable of meeting department goals
What we are looking for:
  • Educational Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field, or Technical School graduate/equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience At least 3 - 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Experience in the automotive industry is strongly preferred.
  • Physical Requirement: Requires the ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods, as well as sit and work at a computer in an office setting. Candidates must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds routinely, with heavier lifting performed with assistance. The position requires the ability to bend, twist, reach, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed, and may involve exposure to heat, cold, noise, and industrial equipment. The employee must safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment, and must wear all required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and steel-toed shoes.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and facility utility systems (boilers, compressed air, electrical distribution, water treatment)
  • Working knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance principles and CMMS software
  • Understanding of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements as they relate to maintenance and equipment records
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, including energy/water conservation and environmental compliance
  • Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with Antolin systems such as BEONE, SAP, QIM, and NCR (preferred)
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and drive effective corrective action plans.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; Spanish language ability is desired
