We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead day-to-day maintenance and operations for critical utility systems supporting a high-volume manufacturing facility. This onsite role oversees skilled trades personnel across Energy Center and Wastewater Treatment operations, with responsibility for equipment reliability, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, safety, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise skilled trades personnel supporting industrial utility and wastewater treatment operations.
- Manage preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
- Prioritize work orders, allocate resources, and coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Support reliable operation and maintenance of industrial boilers, chillers, cooling towers, compressed air systems, HVAC, pumps, piping, heat exchangers, water treatment systems, wastewater treatment equipment, and chemical feed systems.
- Lead troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation, automation, and process-control issues.
- Support PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, instrumentation, and industrial automation systems.
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, and service providers while maintaining plant safety requirements.
- Develop preventive maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Perform equipment failure analysis and lead Root Cause Analysis activities.
- Support capital improvement projects through installation and commissioning.
- Manage work orders, preventive maintenance, labor utilization, and equipment history through computerized maintenance management systems.
- Monitor maintenance and reliability performance, including equipment uptime, MTTR, MTBF, PM compliance, utility consumption, and maintenance backlog.
- Maintain accurate equipment, operational, and compliance documentation.
- Promote safety, accountability, teamwork, employee development, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience within manufacturing, industrial facilities, automotive operations, or a similar environment.
- 1+ year of supervisory or team leadership experience leading skilled trades personnel.
- Experience supervising preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Working knowledge of industrial mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or automation systems.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to effectively lead maintenance activities in a plant environment and coordinate across multiple operational priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Ability to work onsite and flex across shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required to support plant operations.
