Job description

A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to lead an experienced technical team and help drive equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and operational performance. This is an excellent opportunity for a maintenance leader who enjoys being on the plant floor, solving real equipment problems, and earning credibility by working alongside skilled technicians. The maintenance operation is already on solid footing, so the opportunity is less about rebuilding a department and more about strengthening planning, CMMS utilization, and reliability while preserving what the team already does well.

Schedule:

Primarily Monday through Thursday, first-shift schedule, with approximately two Fridays per month as needed.

This Role Offers:
  • Competitive salary based on experience, with flexibility for highly qualified candidates.
  • Performance-based bonus opportunity.
  • Hands-on role with meaningful visibility and influence on plant performance.
  • Stable manufacturing environment with an experienced workforce and a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Focus:
  • Coach and coordinate a skilled maintenance crew while staying visible and engaged on the production floor.
  • Build weekly maintenance priorities around preventive work, equipment needs, available labor, and production demands.
  • Step into complex equipment issues as a technical escalation point, especially when electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical troubleshooting is required.
  • Use the CMMS to strengthen preventive maintenance scheduling, work visibility, planning discipline, and asset history.
  • Partner with operations to reduce avoidable downtime and address recurring equipment problems before they interrupt production.
  • Support maintenance parts readiness and help keep critical spares organized and accurately reflected in maintenance systems.
  • Guide technicians through safe repair practices, clear priorities, and practical problem solving without micromanaging an experienced team.
  • Coordinate outside service providers when specialized equipment or facility support is needed.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safe work practices, equipment reliability, quality expectations, and disciplined maintenance execution.
  • Look for practical improvements to PM routines, maintenance workflows, and system utilization while respecting processes that are already working well.
Skill Set:
  • Bring 3 to 5 or more years of experience supervising or leading industrial maintenance employees.
  • Offer roughly 8 to 10 or more years of total industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Demonstrate hands-on troubleshooting ability across electrical systems and meters, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical equipment.
  • Have a strong track record supporting production equipment in a manufacturing setting.
  • Know how to use a CMMS for preventive maintenance scheduling, work planning, and maintenance documentation.
  • Lead from the floor and have the technical credibility to work effectively beside seasoned maintenance technicians.
  • Communicate clearly, stay organized, and make sound decisions when equipment or production priorities change.
  • Experience with plant utilities such as boilers, compressors, air dryers, or vacuum systems is helpful.
  • Background in regulated or process-driven manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Prior involvement in improving spare-parts controls, preventive maintenance programs, or CMMS adoption is valuable.
