Job summary

Ivy Creek Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a Maintenance Director with experience in life safety inspections, HVAC and regular maintenance. The role oversees the maintenance department to ensure environmental center compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, keeping the facility clean, safe, and functional.

The position requires supervising staff across maintenance and environmental services, coordinating preventive maintenance, and maintaining detailed records.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• One to two years of supervisory experience in a commercial establishment with knowledge of laundry/housekeeping/maintenance procedures.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Environmental Services personnel and daily work in assigned areas, maintaining records and managing budgets and interdepartmental relations.
• Executes the preventive maintenance program and keeps maintenance records to ensure high functionality.
• Maintains documentation of maintenance activities including parts and fuel supply, and reports major issues to Administration.
• Performs routine maintenance and repairs in accordance with regulations and building codes.
• Collaborates with residents, nurses, physicians and staff to address environmental service requests and infection prevention, providing timely follow-up and best-practice communication.
• Maintains electrical and mechanical equipment and reports serious failures to the Administrator.
