Job summary

Ivy Hill Post Acute seeks a Maintenance Director to safeguard the facility’s safety, functionality, and comfort for residents and staff. You will lead maintenance activities, manage staff, and implement preventive programs to keep equipment and systems reliable.

Responsibilities include budgeting, regulatory compliance, emergency planning, and collaborating with leadership to prioritize capital projects while delivering a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance management in a skilled nursing or healthcare facility.
• Hands-on with departmental activities.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate a diverse team.
• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and related trades.
• Familiarity with healthcare facility regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance activities across the facility, including buildings, equipment, grounds, and vehicles.
• Develop and implement maintenance policies, procedures, and schedules.
• Provide guidance and performance feedback to maintenance staff and organize activities.
• Establish a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with life safety and regulatory standards; maintain logs.
• Develop and manage the maintenance budget and coordinate capital projects.
• Plan and conduct emergency response and drills; coordinate with departments and vendors.
