Job summary

Atkore International in Pendleton, OR is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the plant's maintenance team and ensure safe, efficient operations while maintaining facility infrastructure. The ideal candidate has a technical degree and 10 years of maintenance experience (or equivalent) and a Bachelor's in engineering preferred; experience with Lean and regulatory compliance is a plus.

Qualifications

• Technical degree and 10 years of maintenance related experience and/or training in the field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and leadership to plant maintenance department.
• Monitor the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and coordinate or initiate reordering when necessary.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing activities and promote the plant Lean culture.
• Coordinate and/or perform inspection of building and equipment as required by regulatory agencies.
• Oversee maintenance functions with a drive to eliminate repetitive issues by developing personnel and using metrics to help make decisions.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure proper functioning of equipment, and safety and environmental compliance.
• Be a leader in safety. Drive and enforce company policy regarding EH&S and Lean Initiatives
• Create and adhere to departmental budgets.
