Job summary

The Community Builders, Inc. (TCB) is seeking a Service Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team, ensure asset preservation, and deliver high-quality service to residents.

This role combines leadership with hands-on work to uphold safety, efficiency, and operating standards across the property. Reporting to the Community Manager, you will supervise vendors, manage work orders, and oversee inspections and capital projects while fostering a collaborative, compliant, and resident-focused

Qualifications

• High School diploma required
• 5+ years of multi-family operational management experience
• Experience in training, budget development and managing expenses
• Bid management and coordinating vendors and contractors
• Willingness to obtain site-specific certifications within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise maintenance team and vendors at the community
• Oversee routine/preventive maintenance and unit turns with timely completion
• Provide training to maintenance staff to align with policies and safety standards
• Manage repairs, painting, landscaping, and other upkeep tasks
• Coordinate REAC/HQS inspections and budget-related activities
• Lead capital improvements and vendor service contracts to meet goals
• Maintain safety-focused maintenance shop and inventory
• Be available for weekend work, on-call, and emergencies
