Job summary

Utz Quality Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Lead for the Kindig Lane facility. You will lead the maintenance team, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, and minimize downtime across production lines.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong problem-solving and safety focus, adherence to GMP/OSHA, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain efficient and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial production machinery.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing PLC-controlled equipment and packaging systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Maintenance team and prioritize work orders.
• Oversee preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and PLC‑controlled equipment.
• Maintain inventory of parts and tools for repairs.
• Ensure maintenance complies with GMP, OSHA, EPA and Food Safety.
• Document maintenance activities for audits in the EAM System.
• Drive 5S initiatives to keep the workspace organized and safe.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and production efficiency.
