Job summary

Utz Quality Foods, Kings Mountain, NC is seeking a Production Lead to oversee key production equipment, provide training, and support troubleshooting to help the team meet safety, quality, and production goals.

The role requires hands-on manufacturing experience, ability to motivate a diverse team, and collaboration with maintenance and supervisors to start up, changeover, and shut down lines in a rotating schedule while upholding GMP and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food production.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team toward production goals.
• Capability to troubleshoot equipment and work with maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Guide your team to achieve Safety, Quality, Production, and Cost goals.
• Operate and maintain key production equipment (fryers, packaging, seasoning, printers, labelers).
• Collaborate with Maintenance to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Train new and existing team members to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support shift production schedule, including start-ups, changeovers, and shutdowns.
• Monitor product quality and enforce GMP and food safety standards.
