Utz Quality Foods in Hanover, PA is seeking a Maintenance Lead to oversee a manufacturing maintenance team on a Weekday Shift (Monday to Thursday, 5:55 AM–5:55 PM). The role combines hands-on repair work with coaching and mentoring to keep production lines running safely and efficiently.

You will coordinate preventive maintenance, manage spares, and ensure GMP/OSHA compliance while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical expertise with proactive problem-solving
• Experience leading a maintenance team and mentoring technicians
• Knowledge of GMP/OSHA/EPA and food safety regulations
• Ability to document repairs and maintenance in CMMS/EAM systems
• Willingness to work a Monday–Thursday daytime shift and be hands-on in a manufacturing setting

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career-driven, and customer-focused team, and we are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Lead to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA on the Weekday Shift

This hands‑on leadership role is perfect for someone with strong mechanical expertise, a proactive problem‑solving mindset, and a passion for mentoring and leading a team. As a Maintenance Lead, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our production equipment running smoothly, safely, and efficiently, while supporting a culture of compliance and continuous improvement. This role will be working Monday to Thursday 5:55AM-5:55PM.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring work orders are prioritized and completed effectively.
• Coordinate and oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled systems, including baggers, motors, drives, fryers, and packaging machines.
• Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies to support timely repairs.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, OSHA, EPA, and Food Safety regulations while promoting a strong safety culture.
• Accurately document repairs and preventive maintenance in the EAM system to meet audit requirements.
• Promote and implement 5S principles to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Identify and execute process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Provide hands‑on support and training to maintenance technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
