Job summary

Barry Callebaut Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain process and packaging equipment to maximize production while upholding safety and quality standards. The role emphasizes improving maintenance procedures and manufacturing processes.

The candidate should have 5+ years in manufacturing, with food manufacturing experience preferred, and be able to read manuals and schematics. Expect working in hot environments with a collaborative, safety-driven team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience required.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Vocational/technical training or completion of an apprentice program preferred.
• Must be able to read manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Ability to analyze situations and make technical decisions.
• High precision with minimum tolerances.
• Awareness of electrical power safety; exposed to up to 480V.
• Strong organization, math, and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in hot environments (100F–120F).

Responsibilities

• Observe safety, sanitation, GMP and HACCP requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems on equipment.
• Demonstrate troubleshooting on control systems, pumps, motors, HMIs, and PLCs.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks requiring advanced technical expertise.
• Assist operators with adjustments, setups, and changeovers.
• Participate in mandatory training sessions.
• Keep tools and area clean and organized.
• Document maintenance activity and communicate issues to team.
