Job summary

YES Communities is seeking a Maintenance Lead for our Tampa, FL communities. You will supervise the maintenance team, manage repairs, and ensure timely responses to resident service requests and inspections. You’ll coordinate deliveries, stock parts, and uphold safety standards in all daily operations.

The role requires a valid in-state driver’s license, hands-on maintenance experience, and the ability to read meters and perform preventive maintenance. HVAC/electrical/plumbing skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid in-state driver’s license required
• HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Pool Operation experience are a plus
• OSHA certifications or trainings are a plus
• Proficiency with industry software and tablets is expected

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership and task management for the maintenance team as directed by the Community Manager
• Maintain all company assets including rental inventory, tools, grounds, equipment, and maintenance facilities
• Coordinate new home delivery and set-up, and request warranty or follow-up work
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls based on the on-call schedule
• Order supplies, tools, and equipment with management approval
• Read water meters, identify and resolve leaks within the community
• Participate in monthly Safety Teams meetings
• Follow safety precautions including OSHA requirements and PPE upkeep
• Conduct maintenance interviews and assist with onboarding of new team members
• Maintain safe winter road conditions and log snow and salt data
• Log and maintain all company vehicles according to safety standards
• Notify management of incidents immediately
• Coordinate utilities on vacant lots (caps, locks, etc.)
• Additional duties as assigned by management
