Job summary

Camden Property Trust is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to help oversee maintenance across multifamily communities. You will assist the Maintenance Supervisor with scheduling, repairs, and make-readies while ensuring excellent resident service and timely task completion.

The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, safety, and collaboration with vendors and the Community Manager to keep properties in top condition. Weekend/on-call may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of general maintenance experience; at least 6 months of apartment maintenance experience required.
• EPA certification Type I, Type II, or Universal; CAMT certification preferred.
• Must troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electronic systems, major appliances, pool and spa equipment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; rotating on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist Maintenance Supervisor in supervising and scheduling maintenance activities.
• Monitor service requests and prioritize tasks; expedite emergencies as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on community appliances and equipment.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and complete repairs or replacements.
• Manage make-ready process; communicate with vendors and report progress.
• Inspect and repair recurring issues; identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Respond to and complete service requests, including repairs to appliances, plumbing, and HVAC/electrical systems.
• Maintain community appearance and safety through repairs, painting, and cleanup.
• Document service requests and maintenance in OneSite.
