Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking a Maintenance Technician to safely repair and rebuild tube mill production equipment. Qualifications

• 5+ years in a heavy manufacturing maintenance role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship/journeyman training preferred.
• Proficient with hand and power tools; ability to read technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; familiar with electrical systems and PLCs.
• Able to pass job-related testing, employment physical, and drug screening.
• Excellent communication in English; strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance on equipment following safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Ensure guards and safety equipment are in place before returning equipment to operators.
• Monitor stock levels of parts, equipment, and supplies; place orders and receipts as needed.
• Use CMMS/maintenance software to track, inspect, and report equipment status.
• Read blueprints, manuals, and schematics to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and quality issues; escalate when needed.
• Execute breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance, and changeovers on production equipment.
• Identify safety, quality, and operational issues and report them promptly.
