Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure safe repair and rebuild of tube mill production equipment. The role emphasizes electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, adherence to safety procedures, and a detail-oriented approach on a fast-paced production floor.

You will diagnose issues, perform breakdown and preventive maintenance, and collaborate with supervisors to resolve equipment problems while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; apprenticeship or journeyman training preferred.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and precision measuring devices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with electrical systems and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance on equipment following safety procedures (LOTO).
• Ensure guards and safety equipment are in place before returning equipment to operators.
• Monitor parts inventory and assist with orders and receipts.
• Use maintenance management systems to track and report equipment status.
• Read blueprints and schematics to diagnose and repair equipment.
