Job summary

RRD seeks an experienced maintenance technician for 1st shift (7am-3pm) to oversee junior staff, assign tasks, and ensure timely, quality work across electrical and mechanical systems. The role requires diagnosing equipment faults, repairing, and maintaining production lines and related machinery.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years hands-on experience in manufacturing maintenance, strong reading of schematics, and proficiency with hand/power tools and test equipment.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to install, troubleshoot, repair, overhauls, align and test complex equipment.
• Knowledge of machinery diagnostics to distinguish mechanical/electrical failures.
• Interpret complex drawings, sketches and wiring diagrams to isolate malfunctions.
• Use hand and power tools and test equipment effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of junior staff and audit accuracy of work.
• Assign maintenance tasks, monitor progress, meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Track maintenance costs, manage parts inventory and work orders.
• Install, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and load electrical lines, circuits and equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment errors or failures and perform repairs.
• Maintain production equipment and machinery including die cutters and presses.
• Repair or reproduce parts using welders or machine tools as needed.
• Perform building repairs and other duties; update shift schedules as required.
• Coach, guide, and train junior mechanics and maintenance technicians.
