Job summary

Techneeds LLC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a first shift on-site role in Somersworth, NH within a medical device contract manufacturing environment. You will keep production equipment running safely by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and completing mechanical and electrical repairs.

Qualifications

• Preventive maintenance experience on manufacturing or production equipment.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience on complex machinery.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience (motors, sensors, actuators, controllers).
• Experience with pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience with hydraulic systems troubleshooting and repair.
• Familiarity with PLCs in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Experience installing, setting up, or calibrating manufacturing equipment.
• Maintenance documentation experience (work performed, parts used, equipment status).
• Experience working to strict quality standards and following safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service manufacturing equipment to keep production running safely and reliably.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and perform repairs as needed.
• Replace components such as motors, sensors, actuators, and controllers; install and calibrate equipment.
• Document work performed, parts used and equipment status for traceability.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve uptime and safety.

This is an on-site opportunity with a medical device contract manufacturing environment that supports leading medical device companies worldwide. In this role, you will keep manufacturing equipment running safely and reliably by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and completing mechanical and electrical repairs. Day-to-day, you’ll diagnose issues across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; replace components like motors, sensors, actuators, and controllers; and document the work so production and quality teams stay aligned. You’ll also support equipment installs and calibration, collaborate with production and engineering, and help drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30 pm
