Job summary

BG Foods in Hurlock, MD, is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to coordinate daily maintenance operations, drive equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency. You will lead maintenance activities, assist with troubleshooting, monitor work quality, and help reduce downtime through preventive maintenance.

You will work with production and maintenance teams, enforce safety procedures, read technical docs, and mentor technicians to enhance skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience required.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
• Experience with maintenance systems and equipment optimization.
