Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Lead to coordinate daily maintenance activities, guide technicians, and prioritize work orders to maximize equipment reliability and safety in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires at least 5 years in industrial maintenance, strong leadership, CMMS experience, and the ability to read technical drawings. A technical degree or equivalent experience is preferred. On-site position with potential for overtime and continuous improvement focus.

Job description

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for coordinating and leading daily maintenance activities to ensure equipment, machinery, and facility systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role provides technical guidance to maintenance technicians, prioritizes work assignments, promotes preventative maintenance practices, and supports continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Coordination
  • Lead and direct daily activities of maintenance technicians.
  • Assign and prioritize work orders based on operational needs.
  • Provide technical support, coaching, and training to maintenance personnel.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a safety-focused work environment.
  • Communicate maintenance priorities and status updates with operations and management.
Equipment Maintenance & Reliability
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility systems.
  • Ensure preventative and predictive maintenance tasks are completed according to schedule.
  • Support emergency repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Identify equipment reliability issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist with installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment.
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and other safe work practices.
  • Conduct safety observations and participate in incident investigations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance work environment.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work order documentation.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) effectively.
  • Track maintenance performance metrics and equipment history.
  • Assist in managing spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies.
  • Support budgetary and cost-control initiatives.
Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and maintenance processes.
  • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend process changes that improve reliability, safety, and efficiency.
Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical degree, trade certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or facility environment.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
Technical Skills
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of maintenance best practices and reliability principles.
