Job summary

Lennox in the United States (Georgia/Tifton area) seeks a skilled maintenance professional to perform preventive maintenance and simple repairs on our manufacturing machines and equipment. You will diagnose mechanical issues, follow blueprints or manuals, and ensure smooth operations on the shop floor.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of related experience and may include a journeyman card or technical diploma.

  • Expert knowledge of machines, tools, and maintenance; able to lift 50 lbs; some electrical knowledge.

  • Provide work leadership and technical guidance to junior maintenance staff.

What Drives Success

Under general direction, perform general preventative maintenance and simple repairs on manufacturing machines and mechanical equipment.


Performs maintenance service and repairs. Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary. Inspects drives, motors, and belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, or performs other maintenance actions, following checklists. Inspects, operates, and tests machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Provides work leadership for lower level maintenance mechanics through assignment of work. Provides technical guidance and review of assignment progress. May involve repair of electrical systems.


What We Are Looking For

Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 8 years related experience. May require a journeyman's card or equivalent. May require technical diploma or equivalent.Expert knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Expert knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures. Expert knowledge of design techniques, tools, blueprints, drawings, and models. Strong ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. May require some electrical knowledge. Must be able move items weighing up to 50 lbs. Able to provide training and work leadership.


What We Offer

Compensation:This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $40.15-43.30/hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).


Benefits: Subject to applicable eligibility requirements, the following benefits are offered for this role: tuition reimbursement; medical, dental, and vision insurance; prescription drug coverage; 401(k) retirement plan; short-term disability insurance; 8 weeks paid birthing leave; 2 weeks paid bonding leave; life and long-term disability insurance.


Depending on date of hire,and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 10 days paid time off, 12 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
