Job summary

General McLane School District is seeking a Maintenance II – HVAC, Refrigeration and Electrical Specialist to service district facilities in Edinboro, PA. The role emphasizes HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and building automation systems with on-call emergency coverage.

The position reports to the Manager of Maintenance Services and requires a high school diploma, trade training, and 2 years of related experience. Valid driver's license and required clearances are required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Trade, vocational or technical training desirable
2 years’ experience in field related to occupation

Responsibilities

Perform corrective repairs and installations on HVAC, refrigeration and electrical systems.
Investigate problems and repair mechanical/electrical HVAC equipment and systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment (filters, coils, drains).
Maintain and repair chillers, heat pumps, air handlers, cooling towers, VFD drives, pumps and motors.
Install, repair, maintain and operate computerized controls for HVAC/electrical systems.
Respond to emergencies during off-hours when required.
Repair thermostats, controls, sensors and related components.
Monitor Metasys alarms and notify supervisor when action is needed.
