Job summary

YMCA is seeking a Maintenance and Housekeeping Lead to maintain cleanliness and light maintenance across our Central and South locations in Michigan. The role reports to the Maintenance Director and leads operations at the South facility, with training at the West facility.

The position runs 6:00am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday, offering $18.00-$20.00 per hour, full-time benefits, and potential growth opportunities within the organization. Sign-on bonus is available for eligible full-time hires.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18
• 1-2 years related experience (preferred)
• Can work independently or in a group setting
• Takes initiative and is self-driven
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community

Responsibilities

• Cleaning all areas of the building within realm of responsibility
• Cleaning showers and locker room areas
• Dusting and detail cleaning
• Vacuuming carpeted areas
• Toilet and shower scrubbing and sanitizing
• Informing supervisor of cleaning supply inventory and supplies needed
• Snow removal from sidewalks, entrances, emergency exits. Salting the sidewalks, entrances and parking lot handicap spots as needed
• Landscaping help on all YMCA property
• Light maintenance within realm of responsibility
• Other tasks by supervisor within real of responsibility
