Job summary

Grand Traverse Bay YMCA is seeking a Maintenance and Housekeeping Lead to ensure facility cleanliness and support maintenance at our Central and South locations. The role reports to the Maintenance Director and serves as the lead at the South facility, with training at the West facility for cross-coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18
• 1–2 years related experience preferred
• Can work independently or in a group
• Takes initiative and is self-driven
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas of the building within scope of responsibility
• Clean showers and locker rooms
• Dust and detail cleaning
• Vacuum carpeted areas
• Toilet and shower scrubbing and sanitizing
• Inform supervisor of cleaning supplies inventory
• Snow removal and salting of sidewalks and entrances
• Assist with landscaping
• Light maintenance tasks as needed
