Job summary

Pilgrim's is seeking a maintenance-focused professional to ensure safe and reliable operation of plant machinery. The role is based in the maintenance workshop with mobility to respond to breakdowns on the production floor.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and drive systems, and performing repairs and welding per safety standards. Prior maintenance experience and the ability to lift 50 lbs are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Certifications: willing to obtain Lock Out/Tag Out, Pallet Jack and Forklift certifications.
• Testing: passing IMPACT level 2 test with a score of 40 or higher.
• Experience: 1+ years in maintenance; basic welding and electrical systems knowledge.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.

• Diagnose and repair drive-related issues for optimal performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot bearing failures.
• Assist in motor testing, diagnostics, and basic repairs.
• Analyze and troubleshoot electrical circuits using Ohm's Law and Kirchhoff's Laws.
• Safely use multimeters and other diagnostic tools.
• Execute welding operations following safety and quality standards.
• Interpret welding symbols and apply techniques for repairs and fabrication.
• Take on additional responsibilities to support maintenance and plant operations teams.

In this essential role, you'll serve as the first line of response for equipment-related issues, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of machinery throughout the facility. Based primarily in the maintenance workshop, you'll perform routine inspections, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, and carry out preventive and emergency repairs. The role also requires mobility to respond quickly to breakdowns or safety concerns on the production floor, helping maintain a reliable, efficient, and compliant processing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

What You’ll Need

• Education:High School Diploma or GED Preferred
• Certifications:Must be willing to obtain Lock Out/Tag Out, Pallet Jack and Forklift Certifications; if transferring from another Pilgrim's plant, previous certifications may still be valid if in compliance.
• Testing:Passing the IMPACT level 2 test with a minimum score of a40.
• Experience:Prefer 1+ years' experience in the Maintenance Field and basic understanding of welding and electrical systems.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
