Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Maintenance Lead to supervise maintenance activities across the facility in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will ensure optimal equipment performance, reliable utility systems, and efficient facility operations while leading maintenance teams.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years in poultry or food manufacturing maintenance, and strong skills in refrigeration, PLCs/electrical, plumbing, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in poultry or food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of refrigeration, PLCs/electrical systems, plumbing, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance team responsible for repair, installation and upkeep of plant equipment, facilities and utility systems.
• Plan, assign and monitor work schedules to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
• Maintain production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safety and operating standards.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure consistent execution and reliability.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and support team in problem-solving and development.
• Support facility improvements and manage procurement of tools, equipment and supplies.

Maintenance Lead

Pilgrim’s is looking for a Maintenance Lead to supervise and coordinate maintenance activities across the facility. This role ensures optimal equipment performance, reliable utility systems, and efficient facility operations while leading maintenance teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise maintenance team responsible for repair, installation, and upkeep of plant equipment, facilities, and utility systems.
• Plan, assign, and monitor work schedules to ensure timely and effective completion of maintenance activities.
• Maintain production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure consistent execution and equipment reliability.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and support team members in problem-solving and technical development.
• Support facility improvements and manage procurement of tools, equipment, and supplies to drive efficient operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred;
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in poultry or food manufacturing. Experience with processing equipment and industrial maintenance systems;
• Skills: Working knowledge of refrigeration, PLCs/electrical systems, proficiency in plumbing, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems, strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, basic computer skills and ability to support maintenance systems, and ability to become Haz-Mat team qualified.
