Job summary

JBS Foods in Greeley, CO is seeking a Maintenance Hourly/Production Team Member to install and maintain production machines and plant facilities. The role starts at $28.00 per hour with potential to reach $38.00 per hour, plus a $0.10/hour shift differential.

Responsibilities include repairs, preventive maintenance, and basic machining. Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems, read manuals, and keep work areas safe.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work full-time Mon-Fri; weekends and overtime as needed.
• Read/write in English.
• Requires ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Requires ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Requires ability to work in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to conduct repetitive motion.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and plant equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and scheduled maintenance.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems and repair production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Diagnose problems, replace/repair parts, test and adjust.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Carry out plumbing maintenance and carpentry tasks.
• Use hand and power tools, meters, and material handling equipment.
• Detect faulty operations and report issues to supervision.
• Maintain safe and clean work areas.

Job Description

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Other duties as assigned
