Job summary

JBS USA in Greeley, CO is hiring an Hourly Sanitation Support in the Sanitation department. The role involves hands-on sanitation, cleaning, scrubbing, sanitizing, and maintaining clean work areas and equipment. The position starts at $23.50 per hour.

You will follow established sanitation protocols, support safety and regulatory compliance, monitor areas for efficiency, and work in a cold manufacturing environment with lifting up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Able to work full-time M-F; weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Experience in sanitation or related field preferred.
• Able to perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Good communication and ability to work well in a team.
• Basic knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
• Work in a cold environment.
• Manufacturing setting.
• Standing or walking for prolonged periods.
• Repetitive motion.
• Uneven surfaces and slippery floors.

Responsibilities

• Understand sanitation operations and procedures.
• Perform hand-on sanitation activities: cleaning, scrubbing, sanitizing, and organizing areas/equipment.
• Follow sanitation protocols to meet regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and inspect work areas to identify sanitation improvements for efficiency.
• Foster a positive work environment with teamwork and open communication.
• Ensure safety and compliance during sanitation processes and report hazards.
• Maintain clean and organized storage for sanitation supplies and chemicals.
• Understand Food Safety, GMP, and SSOP requirements.
• Understand pace flow and labor standards.
• Maintain attainment of required pace and work standards.
• Stand or walk for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
• Lift up to 75 lbs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand sanitation operations:
• Perform hand-on sanitation activities, including cleaning, scrubbing and sanitizing, and organizing work areas and equipment.
• Follow established sanitation protocols and procedures to maintain cleanliness and meet regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and inspect work areas to identify and address sanitation processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
• Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication.
• Safety and compliance:
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations during sanitation processes.
• Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns to management
• Maintain a clean and organized storage area for sanitation supplies and chemicals
