WinnCompanies is seeking a Helper A - Local 1 to join Barbara Jean Wright Court Apartments in Chicago, IL. The role focuses on maintenance across rental units, common areas, and grounds, with on-call duties. The position requires at least 1 year of maintenance experience and completion of Local 1 Union training on hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience.
• Ability to complete Local 1 Union training upon hire.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Ability to provide basic hand tools necessary to perform daily duties.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs in appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and basic HVAC.
• Complete assigned service requests and repairs.
• Assist in preparing vacant apartments for market ready status.
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management.
• Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies based on a schedule.
