Job summary

Trinity Property Consultants in Chicago, IL is seeking a Union Maintenance Helper A to deliver reliable interior and exterior maintenance across our apartment communities. You will handle HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and carpentry tasks while communicating effectively with residents and teammates.

This full-time union role requires a minimum of one year in maintenance and multi-trade aptitude; EPA/CPO certifications are preferred. Weekend availability may be needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of maintenance technician experience, multifamily experience preferred.
• Beginner experience in two or more trades: electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, preferred.
• Working knowledge of appliances preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all community maintenance work, resident service requests, punch lists, building inspections, preventative maintenance, and cleaning.
• Demonstrate safe use of hand and power tools and equipment.
• Participate in apartment inspections for move-ins and move-outs.
• Maintain inventory of basic personal tools and organize supplies.
• Perform on-call service requests and emergency calls as needed.
• Communicate concerns of the community with Supervisor.
• Complete additional tasks or duties assigned by community leadership.
