Job summary

Palmetto Woods is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Helper to join our team in Sumter, South Carolina. You will assist the maintenance Technician with everyday tasks and perform home repairs including sheet rocking, painting, flooring, plumbing, and minor electrical.

Outdoor maintenance, safety meetings, and keeping repair logs are part of the role. On-call availability nights and weekends is required. This position offers opportunities for advancement and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Strong work ethic with good communication, time management, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
• Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems helpful.
• On-call availability, including nights and weekends.

• Participate in weekly safety meetings and maintain a safety-first approach.
• Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed.
