Genesis HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our nursing centers safe, clean, and well-maintained. You will perform minor repairs, assist with grounds upkeep, and support the maintenance supervisor when needed.

This role offers hands-on work in a collaborative environment with opportunities for growth within our health-care network.

The posted pay ranges from $16.00 to $20.00 per hour, with benefits including health coverage and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent is required.
• Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.
• Willingness to perform maintenance tasks and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, electrical equipment, and safety systems.
• Change filters on HVAC equipment and stock supplies.
• Assist in covering maintenance supervisor duties when absent.

Education

Responsibilities

Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.
