Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in Montgomery County, Pottstown, is seeking a part-time Maintenance Assistant to perform a range of upkeep tasks from 2pm to 6pm, Monday through Friday, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming nursing center environment.

Responsibilities include making minor repairs to fixtures and equipment, changing HVAC filters, stocking supplies, and acting as maintenance lead in the supervisor's absence, with benefits that reflect our commitment to employee wellbeing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic wiring, plumbing and carpentry knowledge preferred.

• Perform maintenance tasks to keep the nursing center and grounds clean, safe and orderly.
• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs and related equipment.
• Change HVAC filters and assist with stocking supplies; act as Maintenance supervisor in their absence.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Restrictions apply based on collective bargaining agreements, applicable state law and factors such as pay classification, job grade, location, and length of service.

Posted Salary Range

USD $18.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
