Genesiscareers is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our nursing center clean, safe, and well maintained. You will perform minor repairs, change HVAC filters, and manage supplies to ensure a pleasant environment for residents.

The role requires a high school degree or equivalent and basic wiring, plumbing and carpentry knowledge, with a supportive team and opportunities for growth. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs and other equipment.
• Change filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carry, lift and stock supplies.
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in absence of supervisor.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.
