Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Maintenance Laborer to perform upkeep of the maintenance facility grounds and assist across various lines of business. The role involves operating hand tools, driving when needed, and maintaining safe equipment conditions.

The position requires a self-motivated, safety-focused individual who can work with minimal supervision and adapt to outdoor conditions, including nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with hand tools and equipment is preferred.
• CDL driving experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus for operating tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility grounds and surrounding areas including shop cleaning and general housekeeping.
• Operate various hand-held tools and equipment.
• Ensure safe operating condition of equipment in accordance with regulations.
• Pressure-wash and minor repairs to tools, bins, and containers.
• Assist with driving, loading, and unloading shop supplies, parts, and tools.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Support other lines of business as needed.
