Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Maintenance Laborer to handle the general upkeep of the maintenance facility grounds and assist in various lines of business as needed. Responsibilities include shop cleaning, oil spill cleanup, parts pickup, and general housekeeping, with safe operation of tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and safety-minded approach are required.
• Ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility grounds and surrounding areas, including shop cleaning and general housekeeping.
• Operate hand-held, electrical, and gas-powered tools and equipment.
• Ensure safe operating condition of equipment and tools by following rules and regulations.
• Pressure-wash and perform minor repairs to shop tools, bins, and containers.
• Assist with transport, loading, and unloading of supplies and parts.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers and support various lines of business.
