Tyson Foods in Broken Bow, OK seeks a General Maintenance Technician to keep production lines running, perform setup and breakdown of machinery, and learn Tyson SAP to document work orders.

This position requires willingness to work 2nd shift, overtime, and weekends as needed, with safety as a priority; candidates should have 1 year of industrial maintenance experience and be able to lift 70 lbs.

Excellent teamwork and clear communication with management and staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year industrial maintenance experience or relevant certifications.
• Working knowledge of electricity, power transmissions, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, cutting, and the use of shop tools.
• Ability to work with others to adhere to Tyson's safety culture.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs daily and stand for 12 hours.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Willingness to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and complete daily documentation.

Job Description

Applicants will be considered for shifts and hours posted.

Must be available to work overtime and weekends if required.

General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production.

Must be willing to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery.

Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system.

Must be able to read and write where required.

Must be able to use math as needed to make work-related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.

Must be willing and able to lift 70 lbs. with assistance on a daily basis and be able to work on your feet for 12 hours.

Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.

Must be able to communicate clearly with Upper Management and team members via phone, in person, and in writing regarding the status of equipment repairs.

Requirements

Experience/history: a minimum of 1-year Industrial related maintenance experience ( listed in the application ) and/or technical certifications and working knowledge of electricity, power transmissions, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, cutting, and the use of shop tools.
