Job summary

Monarch Landscape Companies is seeking a dedicated landscape maintenance worker to support commercial properties. You will perform mowing, pruning, edging, and other duties under the direction of the Foreman, ensuring high-quality work and safe operations on every site.

The role requires reliable attendance, ability to communicate with team members, and a willingness to work outdoors in varying weather. Valid driver's license is preferred but not required in all locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial or residential landscape preferred but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License issued from the state of employment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain job site as instructed by Foreman; duties include mowing, raking, weeding, pruning and edging.
• Safe operation of equipment including 21”/36” mowers, hedge shears, power shears, backpack blower, aerator.
• Basic understanding of Plant ID.
• Basic hand pruning skills.
• Basic skill in shearing shrubs and hedges.
• Operate all vehicles and equipment in accordance with Monarch Safety Policy.
• Abide by Monarch code of conduct at all times.
• Shows up to work on time; follows dress code; adheres to inclement weather policy and sick leave reporting procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

Commercial or Residential landscape experience preferred, but not required

License or Certification

Valid Driver’s License issued from state of employment, preferred but not required.

Specialized Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with Foreman and team members
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
• Strong commitment to high quality of work and customer service
• Ability to complete tasks assigned in a timely manner
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out tasks
• Deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables

• Safe operation of equipment, including : 21” and 36” mowers; power hedge shears; power shears; backpack blower; aerator
• Basic understanding of Plant ID
• Basic hand pruning skills
• Basic skill in shearing shrubs and hedges
• Operate all vehicles and equipment in accordance’s with Monarch Safety Policy
• Abide by Monarch code of conduct at all times
• Shows up to work each day on time; completes all tasks within time expectations; adheres to company dress code policy; wears clean clothes to work each day; follows inclement weather policy and sick leave reporting procedures
