Job summary

Terracare Associates is seeking personnel to maintain commercial landscapes in Martinez, CA. The role involves performing mowing, pruning, raking, and related landscape duties under the Foreman’s direction, with a focus on safety and quality.

You will operate standard landscaping equipment, possess basic plant ID and pruning skills, and communicate effectively with team members. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; reliable attendance and adherence to safety policies are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial landscaping is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license issued from the state of employment is preferred but not required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Strong commitment to high quality work and customer service.
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to handle standard situations with limited variables.

Responsibilities

• Maintain commercial landscapes as directed by Foreman, including mowing, raking, weeding, pruning, edging and related tasks.
• Safely operate equipment such as 21” and 36” mowers, hedge shears, backpack blower and aerator.
• Basic Plant ID knowledge and basic hand pruning skills.
• Basic shrub and hedge shearing skills.
• Follow Monarch Safety Policy and code of conduct; arrive on time and adhere to dress and weather policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

• Commercial landscape experience preferred, but not required

License or Certification

• Valid Driver’s License issued from state of employment, preferred but not required.

• Frequently works with mechanical objects and outside in all weather conditions

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Ensure Maintain job site as instructed by Foreman. Possible duties include, but are not limited to mowing, raking, weeding, shearing, edging, and hand pruning
• Safe operation of equipment, including : 21” and 36” mowers; power hedge shears; power shears; backpack blower; aerator
• Basic understanding of Plant ID
• Basic hand pruning skills
• Basic skill in shearing shrubs and hedges
• Operate all vehicles and equipment in accordance’s with Monarch Safety Policy
• Abide by Monarch code of conduct at all times
• Shows up to work each day on time; completes all tasks within time expectations; adheres to company dress code policy; wears clean clothes to work each day; follows inclement weather policy and sick leave reporting procedures
