The State of Indiana is seeking a Maintenance Foreman at Correctional Industrial Facility in Pendleton. You will manage a full-service maintenance team handling plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and grounds, supervising incarcerated individuals as needed.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, 7.5 hours per day, with advancement opportunities into supervisory positions. Salary starts at $42,900 and increases with education and experience; total compensation varies by benefit package.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of electrical systems, carpentry, plumbing and painting.
• Ability to plan, schedule and supervise job sites.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and other remediation plans and documents.
• Ability to delegate work, set clear direction, and manage workflow.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• A degree is not required.

Responsibilities

• Solicit cost estimates or cost proposals.
• Estimate costs and work hours for maintenance projects.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and repairs of facilities.
• Maintain accountability of materials, tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Ensure safety and compliance with protective requirements.
• Recruit, onboard, and train employees to support development.
• Set expectations and evaluate employee performance.
• Workday attendance at assigned worksite(s).
