Job summary

The State of Indiana is seeking a Maintenance Foreman for Branchville Correctional Facility to lead preventive maintenance and repairs. You may supervise incarcerated workers and ensure safety and quality in daily operations.

Strong knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing and painting trades is required, plus ability to read blueprints and schedules. A valid driver’s license is required and a commitment to safety and staff development is essential.

Qualifications

Broad knowledge of electrical systems, carpentry, plumbing and painting trades.
Ability to plan, schedule and supervise job sites.
Ability to read blueprints and remediation plans.

Responsibilities

Solicit cost estimates or cost proposals.
Estimate costs and work hours for maintenance projects.
Oversee and participate in preventive maintenance and repairs of facilities.
Maintain accountability of materials, tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Ensure compliance with safety requirements.
Recruit, select, onboard, and train employees to ensure role responsibilities and expectations.
Set expectations, measure progress, and evaluate the performance of employees.
Workday attendance at assigned worksite(s).
