Job summary

The American Red Cross in Burlington, VT is seeking a General Maintenance & Fleet Technician to maintain the Blood Center facilities and manage a 12-vehicle fleet.

You will perform carpentry, painting, electrical and mechanical repairs, oversee fleet budgets and safety, and provide dependable service with on-call duties. Shift is Mon-Fri, 8am–5pm; valid driver's license required; $1,500 sign-on bonus and up to $8,000 annual on-call pay.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work.
• Must have basic writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain facilities and equipment.
• Manage Regional Fleet programs and vehicle registrations.
• Provide support and leadership to volunteers and ensure safety procedures.
