Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a General Maintenance & Fleet Technician III at the Burlington Red Cross Blood Center in Burlington, VT. The role covers maintenance, fleet management, and safety compliance across a 32,000 sq ft facility and a 12-vehicle fleet.

Expect Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with on-call duties. A $1,500 sign-on bonus and up to $8,000 on-call pay are offered. Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to other locations are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience; painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work.
• Basic writing and communication skills; basic computer skills; on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain the Biomedical facility and related systems.
• Manage fleet operations, registrations, and budgets; vehicle safety equipment and inventory.
• Provide support and leadership to volunteers; coordinate with Regional Fleet Management.
