Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a General Maintenance & Fleet Technician to maintain and repair facilities and manage a small fleet at the Burlington Blood Center in Vermont. The role includes on-call duties, a 40-hour workweek (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm) and a $1,500 sign-on bonus with potential up to $8,000 in on-call pay annually.

Applicants should have at least 5 years of related experience in trades such as painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work, plus a valid driver's

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Experience in painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance in the Biomedical facility.
• Manage Regional Fleet Programs including vehicle registrations and budgets.
• Repair, install and service boilers, chillers, motors, pumps and related equipment.
• Maintain facility (32,000 sq ft) and a fleet of 12 vehicles.
