The Children's Home in the City of Binghamton, NY is seeking a Maintenance Worker to care for buildings and grounds, perform routine and preventative maintenance, and supervise youth on work assignments.

This role requires basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry knowledge, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to collaborate with staff, families, and community partners to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
• Driver's license and ability to maintain insurability.

Responsabilidades

• Perform general carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks.
• Snow removal plowing and shoveling.
• Cleaning activities such as dusting and mopping.
• Garden/yard upkeep including mowing and trash collection.
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
• Install appliances and equipment.
• Repair locks, gaps on walls, and replace light bulbs.
• Inspect equipment and systems and ensure safety systems function.
• Collaborate with workers during renovations.
• Complete reports and documentation in a timely manner.
• Ensure that Agency, State, Federal, and Accreditation standards are met.
• Provide recommendations for facility improvements and notify supervisor of issues.
• Maintain professional communication with the agency, community contacts, and vendors.
