Job summary

Children's Home is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to care for all buildings and grounds, ensuring a safe environment for children and staff. You will perform everyday and preventative maintenance tasks and collaborate with others on renovations.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 3+ years in multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.), strong communication, and basic computer skills. Valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in 3 or more maintenance trades: electrical, plumbing, constructions, HVAC, or mechanics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, problem solving and organizational skills are required.
• Some working knowledge of computers is required.
• Driver's License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks.
• Perform drywall repair and replacement, and painting.
• Check functionality of safety systems and ensure fire safety standards are met.
• Install appliances and equipment and perform minor fixes.
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and yard upkeep as needed.
• Snow removal plowing and shoveling, occasionally, as needed.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems; collaborate during renovations.
• Complete reports and notify supervisors of maintenance issues promptly.
