Job summary

Ox Industries is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to lead the day-to-day maintenance of production machinery, facilities, HVAC, electrical systems and related IT equipment at the Pekin, IL plant. You will supervise maintenance staff, schedule work, and coordinate with contractors to keep operations safe and productive.

The role requires strong skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, welding and pipefitting, plus a solid grasp of budgeting, OSHA safety practices, and inventory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational training; longevity in a similar role acceptable.
• Pumps, steam boilers, bearings, welding, pipefitting, and press rolls experience desired.
• Papermill experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work schedules, assign work and supervise maintenance staff.
• Coach, counsel and manage maintenance personnel performance.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs for equipment.
• Coordinate third-party contractor support as needed.
• Ensure shops and equipment comply with safety rules and PPE usage.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain machines and the facility.
• Manage inventory controls and supplier/vendor relationships.
