Job summary

Sustainable Staffing Inc. seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician for their Woodstock, IL facility. The role operates on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a focus on maintenance routines, hydraulic systems, and general tool integration in a heavy manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate will diagnose issues, perform repairs, maintain equipment records, and work safely in a unionized environment offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience scheduling and performing equipment maintenance.
• Proficient in forklift and mobile equipment diagnosis/repair.
• Fabrication skills and welding knowledge (MIG/TIG).
• Strong problem-solving abilities across electromechanical systems.
• HVAC and plumbing familiarity for maintenance tasks.
• Electrical diagnostics including hipot, IR and earth tests.
• Ability to perform oxy-fuel cutting and related procedures.
• Willingness to overtime on weekdays and possibly Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions and perform necessary fixes.
• Repair, replace, adjust, and align machine components.
• Dismantle machinery for parts removal and repairs.
• Work effectively in physically demanding situations.
• Keep precise records of maintenance activities.
• Identify and report incorrect operations or equipment issues.
• Follow safety guidelines and proactively identify hazards.
• Collaborate efficiently within a team.
