Job summary

JONS Fresh Marketplace in the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles area is seeking an experienced Maintenance Facilities Supervisor to lead our store facilities maintenance operations across multiple locations. You will report to the Facilities Director and manage daily maintenance activities and teams.

This hands-on role requires strong plumbing, electrical, and HVAC knowledge, safety compliance, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects while coordinating with vendors to keep stores fully

Qualifications

• 5+ years building or facilities maintenance experience.
• 3+ years supervisory role in maintenance or facilities.
• Hands-on knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general construction.
• Proven ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team: supervise and schedule maintenance staff, assign work orders, manage performance, and provide on-the-job training.
• Execute preventive maintenance: conduct regular inspections, develop maintenance schedules, and document findings.
• Manage multi-system repairs: oversee plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies: address urgent maintenance issues and emergency repairs.
• Maintain facilities: ensure stores are clean, safe, and fully operational during business hours.
• Manage vendors & contractors: coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance work.
• Track work orders & inventory: maintain records of maintenance work, parts usage, and budget.
• Ensure compliance: follow OSHA regulations, safety protocols, and building codes.
• Support store operations: prioritize repairs to minimize disruption to retail operations.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• High School Diploma or GED.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in retail, grocery, or food service environments.
• HVAC certification or related trade certification.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds occasionally.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
