The Operations & Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in leading warehouse teams to meet productivity goals while maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing distribution center equipment. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills to support efficient operations, ensure compliance with safety standards, and drive continuous improvement across both people and processes.
Oversee daily distribution center operations to ensure productivity, accuracy, and safety standards are consistently met.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Perform skilled maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical systems, including conveyors, sorters, motors, gearboxes, pulleys, PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues while ensuring timely preventive maintenance.
Document all work using CMMS software and identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with safety practices, company policies, and federal/state/local codes (LOTO, Arc Flash, 6S).
Communicate operational updates, performance metrics, and maintenance needs to leadership.
Support large projects and emergency repairs while adapting to changing business needs.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment across the facility.
High School Diploma or GED required.
3–5 years of related warehouse operations and/or maintenance experience.
Prior leadership or training experience strongly preferred.
Electrical Certificate preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CMMS software is a plus.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, guide, and develop associates.
Solid mechanical and electrical knowledge (480V 3-Phase, 120V, 24V DC).
Experience with conveyor/sorter controls, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
Welding, fabricating, and bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
Ability to stand 8–12 hours, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs. without restrictions.
Work in environments with moving equipment, loud noise, airborne fumes, and varying temperatures.
Ability to ascend/descend stairs and work with both hands effectively.
Flexibility to work weekends, extended hours, and overtime during peak periods.
