Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the physical plant, including building, grounds and all engineering. This working manager will supervise engineers and may supervise other staff, reporting to the Director of Plant Operations.

In partnership with the Executive Director, you will hire, train, and manage department staff according to policy. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance programs, compliance with codes, coordination with

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or two years related experience.
• 2+ years of experience in facilities or maintenance management.
• Fluent English for communication with residents and staff.
• Basic computer skills for records and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, discipline, and terminate department staff per HR policies.
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
• Coordinate compliance with building codes, MSDS, OSHA, EPA, and fire codes.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors; ensure licenses and insurance are current.
• Supervise engineers and other staff; participate in budgeting and scheduling.
• Head safety committee meetings and participate in Manager on Duty program.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and internal facilities; manage life safety systems.
